Profession of nurses requires maintain of clinical proficiency, artical thinking skill, teaching and promoting uplift of patients in all clinical settings. Besides growing emphasison public healthcare delivery system demographic challenges(such as increase in the number of all population). Urbanization stress and strains. Environmental changes, lifestyle changes nad finally the expansion of employment opportunities, both in India nad abroad are some the factors responsible for increasing gap in demand and supply of trained nurses. In the light of changing educational system of the country, the courses in auxiliary nursing has been recoganised into one and half year program.
The program is geared to the health needs of the country in community of the individual and it will serve as a basis for advance study and specialization in nursing, it will assist nurses in their personal and professional development so that they make their maximum contribution to the society as individual, citizen and nurses.
